Today, Mommy and I went over the bay bridge to visit Miss Jamie and her family. Her youngest daughter, Jessi, is my age. Well, I'm three weeks older but she's more advanced then I am. She's a fellow climber, too.
While I was there I got to play with her toys. She has a Violet the Talking Dog like I do but I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't say my name, she kept saying, "Jessica." Silly Violet.
I got to play with Jessi's brother's toys, too. John was nice enough to share his toy trucks and cars. I had lunch there and Mommy even let me try soda for the first time. Don't worry it was diet and caffeine free. Mommy says she shutters to think how I will act with caffeine in my system.
Jessi is a big hugger like you see here in this photo. One time she went to hug me and I lost my balance and we fell over. I bumped my head on a toy car and it hurt. After I cried a little, I got up and started playing again and then I started to get tired. Mommy noticed I was rubbing my eyes and knew I needed a nap.
I slept on the way home. We stopped by my doctors and they took a look at the bump and said it was just a scratch and that I'd be fine. To help me feel better, we stopped by Starbucks and Mommy got me a Strawberry Frappachino and poured it into my sippy cup. It was GOOOooood.
Later that night I didn't want to go to sleep right away so I found Mommy's swiffer. I had a good time playing with that thing. I tried to get Daddy's badges down from the hook on the door. I also ran around with it and tried to put it in my car but it was too long. Mommy said she can't believe how much effort they have put into buying all these developmentally appropriate toys for me to turn my nose up at them and play with the house mop. Someday, they'll learn.
