Today Daddy did a lot of errands that needed to be done around the house. He axed a big wood pile out back, did some grocery shopping and put carpet down in the living room. Mommy wanted carpet so that I could learn to crawl on the floor. It will be a little while before I can do that but Mommy wants me to have a place to practice. Miss Jessi had a big carpet remnant she let Mommy borrow. I like having carpet on the floor because now I can be in my play gym on the living room floor because I can be around everybody and I'm not so lonely when I'm playing with my toys.

Pop-pop goes back to work on Monday after being retired for a few weeks. Mommy wanted to visit him before he goes back to work so we went to his house to visit. I wasn't feeling too good but I managed some smiles for pop-pop. He held me while I took a nap. When we were getting ready to leave, pop-pop noticed a nail in Mommy's tire. He dug out the spare tire and put it on so we could go safely to get a new one.

Daddy finished his class early today and was at home. He met us at Costco and we bought two new tires for the back of my van. Mommy asked if they could repair the broken tire but they told her the nail was in a bad place and they couldn't. We did a little shopping while we waited for the new tires.

Today I went to visit Caleb and Miss Jessi. I had fun sharing toys with him. I got to play in his play gym and sleep in his swing and he got to sit in my bouncy chair and use the Bumbo seat. Caleb likes to reach out and hold my hand. Miss Jessi said he likes to look at all babies but I think he likes to look at me because I'm cuter than most.

The second half of my day was very busy. I had a 2:00 appointment in Bowie to have my scan done. Mommy made sure I had a full belly before we went. The lady that scanned my belly had a son who was born the day after me. She and Mommy talked a lot about all the things they love about us. I liked it when the lady rolled her tongue at me. It sounded so neat that my eyes got real big and then I smiled. The lady couldn't tell Mommy if she saw anything because the doctor has to look at the results and then tell Mommy what he sees. Mommy said she didn't think there was anything wrong.

After we left there we went shopping at Target and I took a nap in my stroller. Mommy said it was nice to have the stroller because she can't buy as much stuff when she doesn't have a cart. I got a pacifier with a pink skull and crossbones. Aunt Becky likes Pirates of the Carribean so Mommy said I should have it so we think of her. I also got a Bumbo seat and play tray and a couple of cute clothes. I don't need clothes because a lot of nice people have bought me lots of stuff. Mommy said she just wanted to be able to pick some stuff out for me herself because she never gets to.

After shopping we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We ended up staying for dinner. Daddy came over and brought the Wii. Grandma cooked some yummy salmon and showed Mommy how to poach fish. I took a nap on Grandpa's lap while he watched COPS. Later everybody played Mario Party and I went downstairs to watch the Cap's Game. I didn't see it end because I fell asleep but I heard they lost. We'll get 'em next time.

Today I had a very busy day but it started with lunch with Daddy. He is taking a class for work this week very close to our house. Mommy said it would be great to meet him for lunch during his lunch break. We met Daddy at Chipotle. Mommy said it's good for me to taste different flavors in the milk she gives me so she had a burrito. I think she just uses me as an excuse to go out to lunch but I don't mind. It was nice to see Daddy during a work day.

We had a pretty busy weekend going to the Dr's Friday, Costco Saturday and Grandpa's church and house on Sunday. Mommy said I needed a break and that we were staying home today. It was nice to be able to play with my toys because I hadn't seen them in a while. I still have a hard time napping anywhere but a swing or in somebody's arms. This picture is taken of me right after I awoke from a nap. I usually pretty smiley after a nap.

I've been doing much better about going to bed. At 7:30 Daddy gives me a bath. I like baths, I just don't like getting out of the bath tub. It's so warm in the water and then when they lift me out, I'm chilly so I cry. Daddy hates the end of bathtime because he knows I'm going to cry. He gets me dressed as fast as possible and then hands me over to mommy who feeds me. By that point I'm ready for a nice long snooze. I've been sleeping much better lately. I usually don't wake up until between 4:00 and 6:00 in the morning. Mommy's usually pretty tired still because she stays up past my bedtime.

I've been in a much better mood since Mommy stopped eating and drinking dairy products. I'm not completely better yet but Mommy said she has seen a big difference already. I'm trying to smile more!

Today I went to church with Grandpa. His birthday was on Friday. Mommy told me the best present I could give him was to go see him. Mommy and Daddy took me to Grandpa's church so I could see all his friends. I'm a lot bigger than the last time they saw me. I was good all during the service until near the end when I got hungry. Mommy fed me and then I was very sleepy. Here is Grandpa holding me shortly after I ate. Don't we look cute together?

I am a big fan of the computer. I hate tummy time. Mommy got this great idea that if she puts me on my tummy and in front of the computer, I will tolerate tummy time. She was right...at least for a little while.

My First Trip to Costco

We went to this place today called, "Costco." It's a big warehouse that has really tall shelves and lots of big things for sale. I was mesmerized for two hours while Mommy and Daddy shopped. Mommy put me in the carrier facing forward. I can't quite put my arms down. The security straps get in the way. Mommy said I reminded her of the little boy from "A Christmas Story" riding around with my arms sticking straight out to the sides. I didn't mind. I was looking at everything. People stopped to talk to me. Everybody there was very nice to me. Mommy liked that I was quiet and didn't cry for two whole hours. She said she was definitely bringing me back there again. I really like going outdoors. It doesn't matter how much I'm fussing, if mommy takes me outside, I stop being upset. It's been very cold and windy outside. Mommy dressed me very warm. Sometimes if we go for a ride in the car, Mommy doesn't dress me too warm because my Bundle Me makes me hot. But I don't like to stay in my carseat once we get somewhere. When Mommy takes me out of my Bundle Me people stop mommy all the time and tell her she doesn't dress me warm enough. I get hot very easily but people don't seem to understand.

I couldn't stop crying all day today. Mommy is very worried about me. I have not been myself lately. I cry alot more and I don't sleep very good at night anymore. I still eat and poop good. Mommy and Daddy can't figure out what's wrong with me so Mommy decided to take me to Dr. Escabosa, my pediatrician. He said he doesn't think it's reflux but he recommended Mommy give me medicine to take just incase it might help. She also has to stop drinking milk and she's not allowed to consume milk products for a year. Mommy's kind of sad because she likes yogurt and ice cream and chocolate but she said she loves me more. He also wants Mommy to take me to get a rectal scan on Monday to check my kidneys just to make sure there is nothing really wrong with me. I was screaming my head off in the doctor's office. Mommy was at least happy that the doctor could see how bad I was crying. He thinks I'll be okay but just wants to do a few tests just to make sure. I now weigh 12lbs 4ozs.

Daddy Needs A Sick Day

Today Daddy stayed home from work. He has a sore throat and bad sinuses. We had breakfast together and everybody including the doggies took a nap at noon. He was afraid of getting to close to me because he didn't want to make me sick. I was glad to see him so much today. I smile really big when I see him or mommy and it makes them smile back.

Today we got some snow in the morning. Annie and Gayla liked running in it. They played and jumped on each other like there was no snow at all. They didn't seem to mind how cold and wet it was. Mommy didn't let them stay out long. They just went out more often. They tracked a lot of mud inside but Mommy didn't seem to care as long as they were staying out of trouble. She and I just snuggled and stayed warm.

On A Walk....

Today was the first day Mommy had both dogs AND me by herself. She has come up with a schedule to keep us organized. After I wake up in the morning, she changes me and feeds me and then I have some time on my playmat. Once I start to get sleepy she puts me down for a nap. I usually only sleep for about 20 minutes or so. Then she'll play with me some more or read me a book. About noon we take a nap. She even put the doggies in their crates with a treat so they'll take a nap, too. Around 2:00 we all get up and it's time to eat and play some more. About 3:30 we go on a walk. Mommy found it tricky to get the doggies leashes on AND put me in the front carrier all bundled up. But we did it and we went on a nice stroll around the neighborhood. I like facing front in the carrier and looking around at everything. I can't see very far still but I can see the doggies walking and I can hear the outdoor sounds. Daddy usually comes home around 5:00. Mommy or Daddy will make dinner and then 7:30 it's bathtime for me and 8:00 bedtime. It's a full day for a little tyke like me but I'm getting use to it.

I think Gayla is going to work out just fine. Today is the first full day she's been with us. She's so great with Annie. She's so small she actually walks UNDER Annie sometimes. She's very affectionate and loves to be with us. She likes playing with all of the toys we have around here and is a great playmate to Annie. Mommy is happy Gayla wears Annie out. They are both ready to go to bed by the end of the day.

Today we got a new doggy. Her name is Gayla. Mommy found her on Petfinder.com through K-9 Lifesavers Rescue. We took Annie to Petco on Friday and met Gayla. She's really nice. She's curious about me but mommy keeps a close eye on me. Annie and Gayla like to play outside. They run around alot. It's funny to watch them play. Gayla is a lab-boxer mix. She is about a year old. I am fascinated by them and I often get caught staring at them.

Valentine's Day Scare

Tonight after Mommy and Daddy got home from their special dinner, I just started screaming out of the blue. Grandma Garrison came over to watch me and said I was pretty good the whole time. Since I can't talk yet, I can't tell Mommy and Daddy what's bothering me. They were really worried about me because I wouldn't calm down. Daddy called the nurse line and they told him to take me to Nighttime Pediatrics. We went to the one in Columbia. Mommy said we were near Aunt Karen and Uncle Drew's House. The doctor told them that he didn't know what it was but he told them what he knew it wasn't. He said he wasn't too worried. Mommy said that was because I had finally stopped screaming. She think if he could just see how upset I was before we got there, he might think differently. She was also frustrated that their scale couldn't weigh me in any measurement other than KG. I weigh 5.4 kilograms. Whatever that means.

The bouncy seat I'm sitting in never worked right since I was born. Daddy was going to take it out to the garbage when all of the sudden it started to work. Daddy discovered a trick to getting it to work. This was a picture mommy took of me playing in it with it working for the first time.

This morning mommy and I took a long nap. After we got up and got lunch, I played in my play gym while mommy worked getting the basement cleaned up for our new doggy that's coming to live with me. She has this neat monitor that pop-pop and grandma Mary gave her to keep an eye and an ear on me. But I was good and played by myself for a long time.

We have good days almost all the time now that I'm 3, three months that is. I think I'm a big girl. I stand up with no help for a long time, I like watching Mommy and Daddy eat and I can sit up with the help of the chair. This how Daddy found me when he came home today.

On Monday, mommy told me we were going to visit Aunt Jocie and cousin Verity and cousin Bianca. Bianca is only a couple weeks old. I was pretty good for mommy until lunch time. I don't like to sleep anywhere other than my swing until nighttime. So I fussed alot until we got home and got a nap. It was neat to meet my cousin Bianca. Verity is a good big sister. If mommy ever has another baby, I will be a good big sister, too.

This morning Mommy caught me sucking my thumb. She doesn't like it when I do that because she's afraid I'm going to make it a bad habit that will be hard to stop. I think she's worrying too much. Here I am chilling in my swing after coming inside from throwing Annie her ball.

Today was a nice warm day. Daddy had a long list of things to do outside that Mommy gave him. Mommy brought me outside so we could be with Daddy while he worked. I enjoyed listening to all the sounds of nature and looking around at the trees. At first the sun was too bright for my eyes but I got more and more used to it and it didn't bother me any more. I had fun sitting in my bouncy chair playing with my toys. I also liked watching Mommy and Daddy take turns throwing the ball for Annie.

Peanut's Got a "Boyfriend"

Today Mommy took me over to see Caleb. Caleb is Miss Jessi's little boy. He's a big kid, almost 6 months old. Mommy is sad she doesn't have a picture of the two of us together because we were holding hands and he leaned in and kissed me. It was fun. Daddy isn't too sure he wants boys kissing me at this age. I told him it was innocent. Caleb was very sweet on me. We got along great. Mommy says we're going to be great friends. I told Mommy to post a picture of Caleb so you can see what he looks like now.

Mommy Has A Headache

Today Mommy didn't feel good. We were supposed to go visit Miss Jessi and Caleb but she said we will tomorrow. I hope because I haven't seen him in a little while.

This morning Dad thought it would be funny to spike my hair while I was sleeping. Just wait until I'm older and he's asleep. It's been kind of a slow and quiet week. Mommy is still trying to figure out if I'm going to give her any kind of a schedule. Some days I sleep a lot in the morning. Other days I don't want to sleep at all and other days I will sleep 30 minutes here or 30 minutes there. I gotta keep her on her toes. On the days that I sleep a lot in the morning, I have a good attitude during the afternoon. When I don't sleep, I'm pretty cranky the rest of the day. Today, Mommy almost called Daddy to come home from work because I was miserable all day. I wore her out. But by the time she was ready to call him, I fell fast asleep.

Mommy scratches her head sometimes at the things I find amusing. I have discovered that Mr. Window has these really cool blinds. I love to play with them while people are changing me on the changing table. Check it out. Click play to watch.

I had a rough day in church this morning. I had some bad gas bubbles and I cried so hard. I scared mommy and daddy because they had never heard me cry in that much pain and they've heard me cry A LOT. So we left church early and came home. I eventually felt better but was so tired I slept a lot today. I even slept through the first half of the superbowl.
