Happy Memorial Day!
This evening we went to Aunt Faye and Uncle Steve's house for dinner. I got to play in their backyard with my cousins. We brought the water table and pool and Aunt Faye had this great sprinkler that you could sit on and spin. We had so much fun playing in the water. After I got dressed and dried off a little bit, Grampa took me for a walk in my stroller. We had a great time. I had such a busy day today that as soon as we got home, I fell fast asleep. What a great day.
A New Toy in the House
Today, Mommy introduced me to one of the most fascinating things I've seen in my short life. It's called a vacuum cleaner. I was absolutely smitten with it the second I heard her turn it on. I sat and watched as she pushed it back and forth all over the living room floor. This one is made special for pet hair. It really sucks up the dog hair. I enjoyed watching her use it.
When she isn't looking, I sneak up on it and take the attachments off. I like the small ones that I can carry around. She keeps taking them back from me and putting them back on the vacuum. I just wait her out and take them again when she's not looking. I've also learned how to turn it on and off. It's frustrating though because it's never plugged in when I flip the switch.

Mommy said that little girls like me are usually afraid of the loud noise a vacuum makes but not me. I'm just too curious about how stuff works to be scared of it. I mean it's got lights and you can see the dirt swirl around inside it. To me, it's just a new toy in the house.

How To Enjoy a Hot Saturday
Today there's not much going on but I'm still having fun because I'm still enjoying all of my water fun! The sprinkler is so neat. Daddy makes it even more fun. Between my water table and my pool, I just can't get enough of water fun. And I STILL get excited when I hear the bathwater running.

Fun at the Park
Caleb was on vacation so I was really glad to see him today. Daddy came home from work early today for the long Memorial Day weekend. We all went down to the park to play on the playground together. Mostly all we wanted to do is swing. Daddy is really good at pushing us. It was a lot of fun.

Party at My House
Today, my cousins came over to go to the indoor water park but when we got there they wouldn't let us in. So Mommy and Aunt Jocie took us back to my house where we set up a little water fun in our front yard. We had a good time playing and didn't care about the water park at all. What a great time we had! I love playing in water.

A Water Table!
Nothing makes me more excited then when I hear the bath-water running. Now I can play with water outside, too! I'm so excited! Here I'm trying to climb in the table within five minutes of discovering it! I can't wait to play with this table every day!
Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues
I have finally discovered the television. I'm now beginning to understand what they are saying on t.v. and I love dogs, too, so "Blue's Clues" is the perfect show for me. I like to sit, play and eat and watch Blue's Clues. Mommy usually puts it on in the afternoon when I start to get restless waiting for Daddy to come home from work. Blue's Clues is a great show. I hope you can watch it with me sometime.
Today, Caleb went on vacation with his Mommy and Daddy to Vermont. I miss him. He's my buddy.

A Trip to the Park
Today I took a trip to the park with my cousins, Verity and Bianca. I had fun showing them all the places I like to play. They came back to my house and had lunch and then went home to take a nap. It was good to see them.

My New Floor
Mommy and Daddy bought a new thing for my floor. There's letters and numbers on these tiles. It didn't take me very long to figure out how to take it apart. My favorites are "B", "D" and "O" because they have insides that pop out of the letters. I also like the numbers "6", "9" and "0" for the same reason. But more than all of those, the first one I ever pick up is the number "7." Seven is my favorite.

Red Lobster
Mom-mom gave us a gift card for Red Lobster. When Daddy called on his way home from work tonight, he suggested we go out to dinner. I had fallen asleep and was taking a nap when Mommy came and got me up to tell me the news.
I love going "bye-byes." I get so excited now when Mommy or Daddy put my shoes and socks on. It tips me off that we're getting ready to go somewhere and I love to GO!
When we got to the restaurant, Mommy split her Cheddar Biscuit with me but I promptly spit it out. Yuck. Mommy and Daddy both gave me croutons from their salad that were super yummy.
They ordered me a kids meal of popcorn shrimp but I wasn't having any of that. I did like the wild rice and proceeded to feed myself with my hands. It got EVERYwhere. Then I discovered Mommy had PASTA!!!
So I proceeded to help myself when she wasn't looking. She eventually gave up trying to fend me off her plate and just let me have it. These pictures were the results. It was oh. so. yummy.

A Visit to See Caleb
Today I went to see Caleb at HIS house. Mommy had some important work to do and said it would be good for me to go play with Caleb for a change. I had a great time playing around the house. I had a hard time taking a nap in a new place but I got enough sleep to keep me going. Mommy left the double stroller for Miss Jessi and she took us for a big walk up to the park and pushed me on the swings! It was so much fun. Then we came back and I played for a little while longer. Then Mommy came to pick me up. It was a full day.
When we got home, it started storming big time. Gayla hates the storms. Annie doesn't mind so much but when Gayla gets upset, Annie gets upset. I tried to show them that there was nothing to be afraid of. When Daddy got home I wanted to go outside and play. It was pouring down rain and lightning and thundering. But I didn't care. I stood at the door reaching for the handle, looking outside longingly and crying. Mommy told Daddy to go ahead and let me out. She thought I'd get wet, cold and scared and change my mind. Little did she realize, I really love the water, even when it's falling hard out of the sky. It's like being in a really big shower. So I toddled right on out to the middle of the yard and bent over and started picking flowers. It was short-lived because Mommy was right on my heels and picked me up to carry back inside. I screamed, cried and carried-on. I was so mad at her for taking me back inside. She said it was dangerous. I don't understand that yet. So, I just had to be mad. Daddy said as a trade off, he'd give me a bath after we ate dinner. I love bath time so it was a fair trade. I was already soaked anyway. It was really raining! I bet that's the last time Mommy says, "Go ahead. It'll teach her a lesson." Mommy's the one learning.

DC for the Day
With Aunt Becky in town, we went on a trip to D.C. Aunt Becky was excited to show Mr. Jeff all around the mall and the museums. Mr. Jeff said he had been to D.C. once before but he was about my age!!! So he probably doesn't remember.
Mommy and I took a train from near our house and met them down in D.C. I wasn't so sure about the train. I was a little worried but I held on to my Violet and she got me though it.

When we got there, Mommy called everybody on her phone and they said they were headed to the Natural History Museum so we made our way over there and that's where we met. We had lunch together.
Then we wandered around the museum for a while. Well, they wandered, I fell asleep.
The next thing I know, I woke up and was going down an elevator to get on the train to go home.
It may have been short but it was good to see Aunt Becky again.

Out to Dinner
Today, Mommy had to wake me up from my nap because we had to meet Daddy and travel to see a doctor in Baltimore. I got to go along this time and I got to charm the doctor into giving me not one but TWO tongue depressors! They are the greatest things! It makes seeing any doctor worthwhile.
After the meeting, we went and got Daddy's car and then traveled to meet up with Aunt Becky and Mr. Jeff and Gramma and Grampa for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I got mac-n-cheese and applesauce. It was so yummy. But I was getting tired so I didn't eat a bunch. Then we went to Rita's and I got pineapple flavored Italian Ice! YUM!
Then we went back to Gramma and Grampa's house and had a ball running around the house and they gave me a bath. It never matters how tired I am, I always love going to Gramma and Grampas, but especially with Aunt Becky home. What a great time we had!

Happy Mother's Day!
Today is Mother's Day. Mommy got up early to go to church. Then Daddy got me up, fed me and got me dressed like he usually does on Sundays. When Mommy was finished with her music stuff, she came down to the nursery and got me and took me home.
I fell asleep in the car and took a nice long nap when I got home. Daddy made Mommy dinner and then after my lunch, took me to Gramma's for awhile. Mommy got herself a nice long nap. She said it was the best present any Mother could ask for. I'm glad Daddy and I could give it to her.
While at Gramma's, I entertained everybody by not sitting still for pictures and climbing up and down Gramma and Grampa's steps. Why? Because I can. I'm so big.

Aunt Becky Comes to Town
It was better than Santa Claus coming to town! Aunt Becky flew in from Arizona today. Mommy went to help with a church kid's party at Mrs. Trisha's house.
Daddy took me to go see Aunt Becky, Gramma and Grampa. We went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. I love going there and seeing all the fish! Then we went to the airport to pick up Mr. Jeff. He was very sad because he just found out his dad went to be with Jesus and he was missing him very much.
Daddy was taking me home when Mommy called and said her plans to go hear a flute concert got messed up. So we met her at a Mexican restaurant called, "QDoba." I got my very own chicken quesadilla! It was so yummy.
What a great day we had. Super windy! But I love the wind. So it was super great.

We're Getting SO BIG!
Today, Caleb came to play with me again. I had a great time playing with him all morning. Then I had a sore butt and needed a bath while Caleb slept. Then Mommy put me down for a nap and Caleb got up. At one point we both needed to eat lunch at the same time. So Mommy put me in my high chair and Caleb in an adult chair. He got to eat lunch like Mommy and Daddy do.
Later Mommy took both Caleb and me to the grocery store, the bank and the clothing store. Now that Mommy has a car seat for both Caleb and me, and we have a double stroller, we can go places together! It's so much fun. Caleb sings with Mommy. It's so great to listen to. Mommy sings "Old McDonald had a farm." And Caleb sings, "E-I-E-I-OH!" I learn so much being around Caleb. He's such a great friend!

Mom-mom Comes for a Visit
Daddy has been travelling a lot this week to Virginia to go to work. He's taking a class of some kind. His instructor is from the West Coast so he and Daddy went to a Nationals Baseball Game tonight.
While Daddy was at the game, Mom-mom came down and took Mommy and I out to Panera Bread for dinner. After dinner we stopped by my favorite playground and I showed her how I can climb all by myself. It was so much fun. After we got home, Mom-mom gave me a bath and put me to bed. What another great day!

Birdwatching
Gramma gave Mommy a bird feeder for Christmas. Daddy hung it up for me next to the patio so I can see all the birds that come and land on it to eat. I love playing on the patio and watching the birds. It's a lot of fun. The only think I don't like, is going inside when it's time. That part stinks.

The Haywood Picnic
Today, we went to a big park called, Patapsco State Park. We went after church with the Haywoods and had a great time eating food, playing on the playground and my favorite part, playing in the river!
It was so much fun. Mommy forgot my bathing suit so she just took my dress off and I played in just my diaper. It was so hot out that I loved it. I got to walk on rocks and pebbles under the water. I got to play with water currents. I got to do big splashing. Daddy stood next to me the whole time. Mommy didn't want to get wet. I had so much fun.
Later after we dried off, Briella and I did big swinging! I eventually fell asleep in my stroller and took a nap. We love the Haywoods and they love us. I'm so glad we got to spend the day with them. I hope we can do it again real soon!

Coupon Craziness
Today, Mommy left me home with Daddy and went to a coupon meeting. It was a get-together of a bunch of ladies from a website that Mommy helps work on. She updates shopping lists and matches up coupons with the sale items. She found out today that she won "Shopping List Assistant of the Month!" It even came with a small monetary reward! She was so excited! She also won a contest on the same site and got a $50 gift card to Amazon.com. Way to go, Mommy! Meanwhile, back at home, Daddy and I played our butts off. I don't get to see Daddy as much during the week so I really like it when I get to spend time with just him at home.
