Today the ladies of the church threw a shower for me. I already have a lot of nice toys and clothes because my family spoils me rotten. The nice church ladies gave me a lot of great books that I don't have. Mommy is impressed how many great classic children's books I have now. I also got some pretty summer clothes, diapers, wipes and some other great toys. I am so thankful for all of my wonderful things. So many people love me that want me to look good and want to help me learn.

How I Sleep.

I'm better at sleeping now. Doctors say that if I sleep at least 5 hours then I sleep through the night. I spoiled mommy and daddy for a few days and slept 8 hours. They were enjoying the sleep so I decided to change things up on them and started sleeping five hours again. One thing that I do like is my white noise machine. Mommy doesn't like it when I sleep so close to it because she's afraid of the cord being too close to me. But no matter where they put me in bed and no matter how far away from the machine they put me, mommy and daddy always wake up to find me like this. I like sleeping with my head against the machine. The noise reminds me of being inside mommy. What mommy and daddy can't figure out is, if I'm swaddle and have no use of my arms and legs, how do I get myself over to the machine? That's my secret.

Aunt Becky gave me an exersaucer for Christmas. It has a lot of farm animals on it. I like all of the things to look at. I had a hard time holding myself up so mommy and daddy used blankets to prop me up. Once my feet touch the ground I should be able to hold myself up better but for now, I will settle for studying everything.

Mommy still doesn't like to put me on my tummy because I fuss...a lot. So this was a compromise. I didn't mind being on my tummy on the boppy pillow and I could still watch my fishy. I actually did tummy time for about five minutes without a single tear. Mommy's so smart. Look at me hold up my head! It's a good thing I don't quite how to roll over yet.

Mommy is trying to make sure I can't get my left hand free because I don't sleep as well or as long at night. She has bought and tried all kinds of swaddle blankets but I manage to find a way to wiggle my hand out. Mommy finally got a good swaddle on me and I fell fast asleep. The next morning, this is how she found me.

We had a long day yesterday and Annie had to stay home. She got bored and ate my shoe. Mommy and daddy were not very happy with her when they found it. This is a picture of what the shoes looked like before and after. Grandma bought me these shoes for Christmas. Mommy said she's going to find out where she got them and replace them. Annie has to stay in her crate now when we go places. I'm glad because I really liked my shoes.

Today mommy and daddy had to go to a big church meeting. I got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. They have a neat toy that mommy and daddy don't have at home. They have a play gym with bugs. Mommy said it's a good thing I'm learning about bugs at their house because she hates bugs. It was pretty neat. It has sides that fold up so I can't roll away. After I had fun playing with that, Grandpa and I watched golf on his t.v. He also sang and danced with me and taught me how to do karate. Later we went to dinner at Cetrones. I like Mr. Sid the owner. Mommy's favorite is the calzone.

I got to go to Pop-pop's retirement party today. It was at the National Security Agency. I got to meet Aunt Patty, Uncle Michael, and see Grandpa Garrison, Grandma Jean, Grandma Mary and Daddy at his new work! Security was so tight they even made me, an 11-week-old, wear a visitor badge. I was a good girl and slept quietly most of the time. Once I woke up I was all smiles for everybody. Then we went to Timbuktu's and I was just wanting to sleep some more. It was a lot of activity for me when I'm used to the quiet of my house. I was pretty cranky at dinner. Mommy took me for a nice walk around the parking lot and we watched the planes flying in to BWI. I fell asleep and then mommy got to eat her dinner. It was a good day.

Mommy put me down last night, I was in my sleep positioner with my head where that big white tag is on the side of my bed. Throughout the night, even though I don't have the use of my hands, I still managed to wiggle my way so that when Mommy found me this morning this is how I was laying.

As part of mommy's shopping therapy today, she got me this great new changing table pad and cover that fits perfectly on my table. Daddy told her I'm getting too big for my table with the wipe warmer up there so she got a pad that fits the whole table. The warmer is now down on the second shelf. I can't help it. I'm long and I'm cute. What can I say?

As a part of my bedtime routine, Mommy gives me a bath but doesn't always wash my hair. She said she doesn't want to dry out my scalp. I then get dressed and then swaddled. I sometimes suck on a pacifier but I'm not a big fan of those. It depends on my mood.

Mommy and Daddy went to a new store with me last night called Buy Buy Baby. It's in Rockville. Mommy fell in love with all the unique stuff they have. They bought me this great white noise machine and a cd player. I love the white noise machine. It keeps me calm and from screaming as much while trying to go to sleep.

I've had a hard time taking baths by myself. I get scared when I'm away from my parents and in that water. Mommy made the bathroom real steamy so I wouldn't be chilly. She also covered up my butt. I don't understand why yet but I didn't mind. This tub used to be Shawn's tub. But he's too big for it now. I have grown to really liking my bath time.

I was a fussy bucket again today and mommy said she needed some shopping therapy so we went to Babies R Us. We got this great new monkey named Mallory. I like her. I can't see vivid colors too well yet but she's got a great face and I like to stare at her and coo at her. I even got my hand stuck on her blue ring. Well, mommy says it wasn't stuck. She said all I had to do was let go but I couldn't figure out how to do that so I sat in my car seat crying while holding on to the blue ring. Daddy helped me let go.

I'm a bit of an independent girl. I like to sit up and look around. I still need a little help. Sometimes mommy uses a pillow and sometimes she'll support my back like she is doing in this picture. But I love to sit up and watch t.v. or watch what's going on. Mommy and Daddy don't like me watching t.v. but sometimes they can't help it. I'm pretty good at holding my head up now.

Monday, mommy went to the dentist. I got to stay home with daddy because he didn't have to go to work. It was a holiday. I was a bit of a stinker and cried most of the time Mommy was gone. When she came home, her mouth hurt so she just held me while I cried. I missed her.

Sunday, mom and I watched the Ravens play the Steelers. Well, Mommy watched the Ravens play, I slept. I was tired all day. Mommy thinks it from her taking so much medicine for her headaches. She tried to pump it all out and dump it so I didn't get any of it but I think I got some of it cuz I was so sleepy.

Mommy thinks Aunt Linda gave me this for Christmas. Very few outfits say "I love Mommy" that are made for a girl. Most of them are for boys and girl stuff says "I love Daddy." I DO love daddy but I love mommy, too. That's why I'm smiling so big in this picture. There are little dog faces on my feet and there are little paw prints all over this sleeper.

Mom-mom came down to visit me. She made dinner for mommy and daddy. I'll get to have some later in mommy's milk. I was a bit fussy but mom-mom gets me. She burped me and patted my bottom and it really helped me to feel better. I was glad to see her. I haven't seen her since Christmas and she couldn't get over how big I've gotten.

Lunch Cancelled

I was supposed to spend time with Pop-pop today but mommy had a bad headache. We spent a lot of time snugging in the bed. Sometimes when she takes medicine it makes me sleepy when I drink some of it in her milk. I did some sleeping in the swing. I like that because it has a nice head cushion and I like the rocking motion.

Mommy is trying to get me to like being on my tummy more and more. The doctor says I have to do it to strengthen my neck muscles but I still hate it. Mommy tries to distract me with a mirror and it works for a little while but I catch on quick.

A Trip to Dad's Office

Daddy has been talking to the people in his office about me. He was so excited about introducing me to all the people he works with before he leaves his job and starts his new one. Mommy drove me down to meet everybody today. I had some bad gas so they laid me down on the boss's desk and everybody came to see me there. I was happy and cooing at everybody until somebody would try and pick me up. It just didn't feel good to be picked up. It still was nice to see everybody. I like meeting new people.

Today mommy had an appointment at the Mid Atlantic Headache Institue in Baltimore. The ladies said they wanted to meet me so mommy took me with her. Here I am in the treatment room. There's all kinds of neat lighting. The doctor let mommy use this room to feed me. I really liked the chair.

Grocery Shopping

Today, Mommy and I went to the grocery store. She puts me in the front carrier when she grocery shops and I fall asleep because her motions put me to sleep. Later that night, mommy was surprised to see that I can now grab my blanket and put it in my mouth to suck on it. I also can suck on my thumb. She would prefer I suck on one of my pacifiers but I don't really like them.

I slept a good six hours last night. Mommy was thrilled to get some sleep. After she fed me at 6:30 a.m. she put me back in my sleep positioner on my side. At 8:30 this picture shows how daddy found me. I am now a wiggle worm and they have to be very careful to buckle me in wherever they put me. I still love to sleep with my hands in funny positions. It's just my personality.

I didn't feel well and I started to cry like something was hurting me. Mommy and daddy tried to do all kinds of stuff to make me feel better but nothing worked. I really didn't like the idea of taking a bath so Mommy got an idea. She knows I love riding in the front carrier but I really only like it when she walks around. It's really too cold for me to go outside for a walk so she took me down to the treadmill in the basement. It didn't take long and I was fast asleep.

Today I ran errands with Mommy. We went to Babies R Us and Best Buy. Mommy's computer broke and since she bought it at Best Buy, the computer company makes her take it back there. I was good for her the whole time. That night she told daddy she wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse. Going out to eat with me is still a scary thing because they don't know if I'm going to be pleasent, sleepy or scream my head off which I did at TGIFridays once. :0) But I was good and I slept till the end. Then we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Evans. Aunt Becky came home and she took me to see her room. It was a lot of fun. I slept really good that night and mommy said she should take me over there every night if I'm gonna sleep that good.

Two Month Visit

I went to visit Dr. Escabosa today. I weigh 10lbs 8oz (40%tile), 23 1/2 inches long (85%tile) and my head is 38.6cm big (40%tile). I was very happy and smiley for Dr. E. He really enjoyed playing with me and talking to me even though I know he had other patients waiting. He said I am very healthy but mommy needs to put me on my tummy more so I can build my neck muscles up. I really don't like to be on my belly but mommy said I'm going to have to. Something else I really don't like is getting shots. Today I got a Rotovirus vaccine which was sweet and sticky. It was kind of yummy. I like trying new things. But then this mean lady poked me and I have cried off and on all day. Mommy gave me some grape flavored Tylenol and I've been pretty sleepy but I'm still not happy about that lady poking me.

When I sleep on mommy's chest I like to sleep with my arms tucked under me. Mommy told daddy he does this too. He didn't believe her so she got a picture of him sleeping like this in the middle of the night.

Mommy Goes to the Dentist

Today mommy went to visit her dentist, Dr. Schatz. Daddy thinks that's a great name for a dentist. I'm not sure what a dentist is because when mommy tried to explain it to me she said he takes care of your teeth and I don't know what teeth are yet. When she got to the dentist's office everybody wanted to see a picture of me. Mommy realized she didn't have a picture because I'm always with her.

I got to stay home and Grandpa and Grandma Evans came over to play with me and Annie. I had a great time being with them. I got show them my new swing and playmat. Grandpa fed me a bottle. I had such a great time with them that I slept all evening after they left.

Daddy woke up with a bad tummy ache. Mommy was afraid he was getting her tummy bug from last week so she asked Daddy to stay home. He felt better by lunchtime and then he held me and talked to me. I love my dad. He makes me smile.

I got to visit Aunt Jocie and Uncle Louis today. They are big Dolphin fans. Mommy made me a onesie that says "Go Birds Eat Fish" Uncle Louis thought it was funny. The Ravens won and next week they play the Titans. Can't wait to see what mommy comes up with next.

On The Road Again

Today we traveled to Linthicum. We stopped at Great Grandpa's house and saw him and Grandma Jean. They told us a story about finding this cute lost dog and how they got it back to its owner. Grandma Jean played with me for awhile and let mommy use this great pad to change me on. It was fun and I was all smiles for them until the end.

Then we left there and traveled across the street to see Aunt Lynn and Uncle JD. We had Annie with us and she was crazy. She loves to give Aunt Lynn kisses and play with Buster. She was so happy. I got alot of great presents from Aunt Lynn for Christmas. She bought me a lot of wonderful, snuggly clothes that were different sizes then what others had bought so I have a great wardrobe to wear over the next year. I can't wait to try everything on. Stay tuned, you'll probably see pictures of me wearing all my new clothes as this blog goes along.

I started to feel better from my tummy troubles and sleeping all day so dad put together this great new toy for me to play with. I had slept all day so I had lots of energy to kick and play with this great new toy. Mom says I'm spoiled.

Nighttime Pediatrics

Daddy and mommy had to take me to see the doctor last night. I had some really runny poop and they got worried. I didn't have a fever but the doctor said I have a stomach bug. I have been feeling bad all day today but I've been doing lots of sleeping so I can fight it. I'm still eating okay so mommy said she wasn't too worried.

My New Swing

Today we went to Severna Park and bought a swing from a lady whose baby had outgrown it. Mommy found it on Craigslist.com. It is great because it goes back and forth AND sideways, too! It has a mobile that spins, lights that change color, plays music and sounds from the ocean! I love falling asleep in it. It's very soothing.

An Average Day at Home

Ever wonder what I do at home? I have lots of activities. I read, play face games in the mirror, play with Annie, swing, go for walks, lay in my bed and watch my mobile, eat, take baths and sleep.

Visit to See Caleb

Today we went to visit Jessi and Caleb. I haven't been feeling well so I was a little fussy but Caleb still wanted to be my friend.

Bye, Bye Clothes

I have now officially outgrown all my newborn clothes and now wear 0-3 months clothes. mommy got a little sad packing up my smaller clothes but hey, now I get to wear all new stuff!

I wasn't feeling to good today but mommy gave me the pink bear that Miss Betty brought me and I snuggled up and settled down.

The Day After....

Chirstmas, Grandmom Garrison came down to visit and exchange gifts. It was good to see her because we hadn't seen her in awhile.

Christmas Day

Mommy felt better today but she was afraid of giving the stomach bug to family. We didn't go over pop-pop's house in the morning but we did visit Grandpa and Grandma Evans' house in the evening and then pop-pop's later.

Christmas Eve

We were supposed to go visit Grandpa and Grandma Evans' church tonight but Mommy got a stomach bug. Daddy got to take care of me and feed me from a bottle.

No Heat!

We lost our heat last night because the oil company let us run out of oil. Mommy had to pack me and Annie up at 10:00 last night and take us over Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa took me downstairs and we watched football with Great Grandpa. I was fascinated with the flourescent lights in the basement. We got to come home at 1 a.m. I had a good time seeing everybody.

Today, Mommy and I ran last minute errands for Christmas. I got to meet Miss Brittany at the bank. I was all smiles for her. I also did a lot of poopin'. Mommy had to change me four times in 2 1/2 hours! At one point I got really hot and Mommy didn't realize it right away. When she took me out of my carseat I was all sweaty. Since Grandpa and Grandma call me their "peanut," everybody says Mommy "roasted the little peanut."

Tummy Time

Mommy said I need some exercise and that I needed to practice holding up my head. So she put me on my play mat in my crib and used a mirror to encourage me to hold up my head.

Cookie Exchange

Today we visited Grandma Evans' house. She held a cookie exchange with all her friends, family and ladies from her church. She got to spend some time with me.

Pop-pop Comes to Visit

Pop-pop came down after work to see me. Mommy warned him the traffic could be bad but he said he was going to come anyway. He loves me.

Goodbye, Dr. Kumar

Mommy had her six week post partum checkup today. She saw Dr. Kumar who delivered me. He is going to be leaving Maryland at the end of December to go back to Memphis with his wife and 6 month old baby daughter. We will miss him.

Cookie Baking at Aunt Jocie's House

We didn't get to make gingerbread houses this year so we had a cookie baking day at Aunt Jocie's house. Grandma made belly swellers and chicken noodle soup. We made sugar cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies and chocolate chip cookies. Mmm.

O Christmas Tree

Mommy, Daddy and I went to a different kind of nursery today to get a Christmas tree. It's sitting in the living room with pretty lights for me to look at from my swing.
